Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Steelcase Cubicle Workstations

The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Steelcase, Inc., Grand Rapids, MI on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Steelcase Answer Workstations COMFRC requires four (4) Steelcase Answer Cubicle Workstations that must be compatible with the existing cubicles in building 101 at NAS Jacksonville. The workstations need to be identical in color and form in order to be reconfigured with the existing workstations. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.

A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The point of contact for this requirement is Jeff Smith, jeffrey.t.smith6.civ@us.navy.mil.
