Intent to Sole Source Preventative Maintenance Shot Peen System

Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD, hereby gives notice of intent to award a purchase order to PROGRESSIVE SURFACE, (Cage Code: 06EH8), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purchase order is anticipated to include a base year and four option year.

This requirement provides preventive and emergency maintenance Contractor support services for the Progressive Surfaceautomated shot peen system located at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Naval Air Station,Jacksonville, Florida 32212-0016, Building 794. The automated shot peen system is S/N 7720, Plant Account Number 65886-027008.

The FRCSE does not have the capacity or ability to perform the requiredmaintenance to keep this system maintained and ready to meet the fleet demand requests for enginecomponents and parts that need repairs. The FRCSE therefore requires assistance with the PreventiveMaintenance and Emergent Repairs of this system.
