Fiber Optic Test Adapters and Tools for E-2 Aircraft

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to compete a limited source competition between the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Glenair, and its authorized distributors. This procurement is for new fiber optic adapters and tools required to support critical maintenance and fault isolation for the E-2 aircraft platform. The equipment is necessary for the United States Navy (USN) and for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partners, including France and Japan. Please see the attachment found below for the CLIN table for the items being procurred. 

This equipment is essential for the fault isolation and maintenance of the aircraft's Radar Auxiliary Rack, Radar Receiver, Mission Computer, and other critical systems.

This acquisition is being pursued under the limited source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements; therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the government will consider all responses received within 15 calendar days after the date of publication of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice.
