AAR Military Stackable Storage Containers

The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract based on a limited competition basis between AAR Manufacturing, Inc. (AAR) and authorized resellers for the procurement of AAR brand name military stackable storage containers with a quantity of 26 containers. It’s anticipated that this will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract.

Only the AAR brand name storage containers meet the requirements for stacking; are a compatible fit and function of those already fielded with the Remote Radio Secure Voice System (RRSVS) to maintain commonality and interoperability; and have passed testing. The AAR brand name military stackable storage containers are stackable, contain embedded pallets at the bottom of the container, and are compatible with standard military transport vehicles and equipment.

The AAR brand name storage containers have passed Qualification Testing of the prototype RRSVS system. The AAR brand name storage containers have been certified to be used with the RRSVS system for air load on Air Force transport aircrafts, reduce deployment footprint, and have a patented integral base for rapid aircraft load and off load times. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Responses by phone or fax will not be accepted. The Government will not pay for any information received.
