Cultural Relations Specialist - CLDJ

The Community Relations Specialist (CRS) contractor will provide the leadership and staff of Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ) with analysis and insight into local culture, politics, and policies, and advise on strategies to engage key leaders in the local community. The CRS will also provide guidance and assistance in the relationships CLDJ has with the local community, the Djiboutian government and armed forces based in Djibouti.

The CRS will work closely with CLDJ’s Public Affairs Office, Legal Department and Chaplain’s Office to provide cultural relations support and translation services; this support will not be limited to these three departments, but shall be provided as needed for CLDJ leadership and staff. The CRS shall monitor and analyze local and international media for impact on host nation relations and providing daily reviews of local and international press, internet media outlets, and broadcast agencies.
