Teledyne Connectors

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) requires 2 connector assemblies (Part number 1120188-101) with the option to purchase additional units, as specified in the attached combined solicitation/synopsis. An award will be made on a sole source basis to Teledyne Marine. Summary of the determination to pursue a Sole Source award is as follows:

The required connector is at the base of an antenna system and must meet submarine pressure and water intrusion requirements. The connector, manufactured by the Original Equiptment Manufacturer (OEM), Teledyne, is specified in the approved Government drawing package. Using another manufacturer and part number would require a drawing change and revaluation/approval of the package at a detrimental cost and schedule impact to the Government. This is not a request for competative proposals. Any quotations recieved in response to this posting may be used to determine set aside proceedures for future procurements.
