Multi-Function Towed Array Line-Cutters

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis, Towed Array Cable Cutters, which are detailed in the attached RFQ. This RFQ is being extended for 24 hours, until 28FEB2024 at 1100 EST to answer questions from industry and make clarifications.

1. Question: We have been informed by x-acto that the #19 blades called out on the drawing have been discontinued and we need a minimum of 1800 pcs, we are having issues finding an exact replacement. Do you know if there are any plans to change the blade to something that is available?

Answer: The brands identified in the drawing are approved brands, but not required. The specifications for item 3 are:

Precision blade, steel, length 40.7mm/1.6”, width 8.8mm/0.35”, blade length 11mm/0.43”, thickness 0.4mm/0.02” Other clarifications being made by this amendment: - The drawings included with this opportunity are Distro D. Vendors must prove compliance with NIST SP 800-171 to be provided the drawings via DoD SAFE. - The brands identified in the drawings are approved vendors, not required. Quotes will be considered, as long as the materials quoted meet the exact description identified in the drawing. The exact descrition of item 3 are stated above in this amendment.
