N66001-24-Q-6355

Department of the Navy, NIWC Pacific. Testing Laboratories and Services.

Awarded

HI-TEST Laboratories, Inc.

$27,500.00 obligated so far on USAspending

Description

As published on SAM.gov.

PMW/A 170 GPS-based position Navigation and Timing System (GPNTS) Program requires Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) performed on the GPNTS Rack 1 Power Distribution Unit (PDU) upgrade to meet Electromagnetic Compatibility/Interference (EMC/I), Vibration, and Shock requirements for Navy Surface Ship applications. GPNTS Rack 1 was previously tested to vibration and shock requirements concluding in January 2024, however, failed shock qualification. Mitigation requires new shock coils for re-test.

The Rack 1 unit will be re-tested for both vibration and shock requirements with the new shock coils and PDU upgrade. NIWC Pacific, Code 75270, will provide support for completion of EMI (MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-1399-070), Vibration (MIL-STD-167-1A) and Shock (MIL-DTL-901E) EQT requirements for Navy surface ship below deck installations.

Support includes test plan development, test lab coordination/contracting, test oversight, test report development, and submission of any necessary associated Request for Variance (RFV) submissions based on test results.
