Gun Mount Control Panel

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division awarded a firm fixed price (FFP) contract to Design West Technologies (DWT) on September 29, 2023. This procurement provides the production, assembly, testing, and acceptance of the Gun Mount Control Panel (GMCP) MK 437. DWT is responsible for the production, assembly, testing, and acceptance of the GMCP MK 437. The GMCP is a major configuration of the GCS MK 160 onboard the United States Navy guided missile destroyers and cruisers as part of the AEGIS Modernization Program as well as new construction destroyers.

DWT will comprise the GMCP with custom fabricated enclosures and commercial-off-the-shelf and non-development item components outlined in the system specification for the Gun Weapon System MK 34 with GCS MK 160 for the United States Navy AEIGS Advanced Capability Build (ACB)-12, ACB-16, and ACB-20 cruisers and destroyers.

DWT’s proposed price was determined fair and reasonable in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.404-1(b)(2)(i), comparison of proposed prices received in response to the solicitation. Adequate price competition was achieved because two or more responsible offers, competing independently, submitted priced offers that satisfied the Government’s expressed requirement. DWT was determined to be a responsible Contractor in accordance with FAR 9.1.

DWT; located in Tustin, California, was awarded a $6,569,043 FFP contract including all unexercised options for the production, assembly, testing and acceptance of the GMCP MK 437.
