Limiting Sources Notice for Port Security Barrier (PSB)

PSB-P DH Spear Connectors for 4 EA, DWG: 10009946 PSB-P DH Flange Sleeve Connectors for 15 EA, DWG:

10008214 REV: A. Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News (SUPSHIPNN) Code 413 Procurement Branch intends to acquire the above listed PSB parts from one of two identified licensed sources, J.F Brennan Company, Inc. and Oceanetics to retain the integrity of the PSB. During the time frame when SUPSHIPNN purchased the barrier system, the published NAVSEA SI 009-72 FY-12 (CH-2) identified the aforementioned vendors as the two licensed contractors.

The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for J.F. Brennan is 488310, and business size standard of $47,000,000. The NAICS Code for Oceanetics is 488310 and business size standard of $47,000,000. This notice is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clean and concise documentation indicating a vendor’s bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Requests must include company name, address, telephone number of the requestor, e-mail address, Cage code, and business size.
