Intent to Sole Source Urgent & Compelling Crane Services for Naval Base San Diego

NAVFAC SW intends to issue a Firm Fixed Priced contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source. Award is anticipated to occur on or about June 08, 2024 to a local small business. The period of performance will be for approximately 38 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed.

As indicated in the attached and approved J&A for the Urgent and Compelling request, the Government has identified that ** is capable of performing this unusual and compelling requirement. The contractor has the capability to immediately respond to this need. The contractor is familiar with current Government and Naval Base San Diego procedures, have a facility nearby and are able to respond to the Government’s urgent need. The 38-day period of performance would provide continuity of service to avoid adverse impact to the mission. Services to be provided as follows:

Rental of a Yard Derrick Floating Crane Labor required to operate and maintain the Crane
