Description

As published on SAM.gov.

Military Sealift Command (MSC) exists to support the joint warfighter across the full spectrum of military operations. MSC delivers agile logistics, strategic sealift, as well as specialized missions anywhere in the world, under any conditions, 24/7, 365 days a year. MSC ships require a broad range of ship support services to support mission. General ship repair (GSR) services range from pipe fitting and electrical work to valve repairs and engine overhauls.

Work Items (WI) are utilized to communicate Statements of Work (SOW) and may be issued on an individual basis to support a specific requirement, or by dozens to support voyage repairs (VR) that span several weeks or months, with various levels of complexity and coordination requirements. ABS welding procedures (WPS) are required to support ship repair aboard MSC ships.

The Government’s objective is to establish an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract (MAC) with responsible and capable contractors to procure GSR services through firm fixed price (FFP) delivery orders (DO). The following three locations will serve as the main areas for GSR support: San Diego, CA; Bremerton, WA; and Oahu, HI.

Interested contractors are requested to provide the following information by the due date: Business name UEI Business size under NAICS 336611 Description of ship repair support provided under PSC Code J999 Non-Nuclear Ship Repair (West) (limited to one-page) List of company-owned ABS welding procedures (WPS) Location of ship repair facilities If your company owns, operates, or has access to non-governmental pier facilities that can support repairs of MSC ships (link: MSC Ship Inventory).
