Repairs to Michelson, USNA 572

The work includes replacement of all roofs, replacement and/or relocation of lighting fixtures, replacement of floor finishes, painting of walls, adding a door, replacing suspended acoustical ceiling, replacement of lighting, modifications of electrical power, HVAC, and providing emergency power circuits at various locations, and new electrical and utility fixtures and incidental related work. The work is located at the United States Naval Academy.

The requirement was solicited as a sole source to Bristol Building Constructors LLC, N4008024R0004 to complete repairs to Michelson. The project requires the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to complete the work. Market Research was conducted and it was determined that Bristol Building Constructors LLC, an 8(a) small business represented the best option to perform this requirement.

Bristol is capable of performing the required work based on a review of their capabilities statement. Due to the estimated value, timeline and nature of the project, a sole source to an 8(a) small business represents the best option to meet the needs of the government and NAVFAC small business goals. The conract is a firm fixed price.
