Intent to Sole Source for Activu Video Wall

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to ACTIVU CORPORATION (CAGE 1SDF0) of Rockaway, New Jersey. Under the authority of USC 3204(a)(1) and pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), the services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source, and no other type of service will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government.

As evidenced in the sole source justification provided by the requiring activity, there is only one contractor that has the specific qualifications that meet the peculiar requirements of this contract. The qualifications for this position are unique and are shown in the attached Sole Source Justification for the maintenance of the Activu video processing solution. Activu is the only provider of the proprietary access units that are compatible with existing shipyard security systems.

All responsible sources may submit a quotation which may be reviewed by the agency. Quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
