Naval Base, Point Loma (PNS_DET_SD) has limited Gas Free capabilities. While onsite at PNS_DET_SD, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) personnel will require Gas Free/Marine Chemist services prior to accomplishing “hot work” in spaces that may be adjacent to tanks or spaces that house fuel. Service shall provide initial hot work certification by a Marine Chemist who is qualified in National Fire Protection Association to work in, on or immediately adjacent to tanks or spaces that house fuel. The entire contractor cost for providing the service (including travel, per diem, etc.) shall be covered by this contract. Service shall be performed in strict compliance with references (a) and (b).
