Troubleshooting, Calibration and Repair of Proof Test Machines

In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 10.001, this Sources Sought Notice is for market research and information purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation.

This notice is to determine the availability of small businesses (including the following subsets, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms; Certified 8(a), Service- Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Woman Owned Small Business) to provide the required services.

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to seek eligible contractors to provide troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate three (3) Government-owned Roberts Testing Proof Test Machines to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and safe operation.

The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and expertise to perform comprehensive troubleshooting, repair, and calibration services on the Government-owned equipment specified in the Performance Work Statement.

Proof Test Machines Manufacturer: Roberts Testing Quantity: Three (3) 1. Vertical Proof Test Hoist Stand, Model 80,000 lbf. 2. Horizontal Proof Test Bed Machine, Model 225,000/50,000 lbf. 3. Horizontal Proof Test Bed Machine, Model 1,200,000/45,000 lbf The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541380 – Testing Laboratories and Services and the small business size standard is $19,000,000.00.

The Product Service Code is L049 - Technical representative services – maintenance and repair shop equipment This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. To be evaluated for technical merit and capability, statements must be received by the stated deadline. In determining whether or not to compete this requirement, the Government has sole discretion.
