NIDEC Mentor Drive Training

THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE; THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This presolicitation notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of the synopsis. It does not constitute a solicitation for bids or quotes, and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government.

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source firm fixed price contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) intends to solicit to Nidec to provide training sessions at a Government provided classroom on the Island of Oahu at PHNSY & IMF.

The class material will be tailored around the use of the Nidec Mentor Drives in the PHNSY's existing portal cranes. In accordance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1, a sources sought notice, N32253_24_096 was posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE), sam.gov from 24 June 2024 through 28 June 2024 to satisfy this requirement. The Government received no responses from industry indicating capability in performing the requirement. This presolicitation notice does not constitute a request for proposals.

Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary and the Government does not assume financial responsibility for any costs incurred. This posting serves as a presolicitation notice in association with N32253-24-Q-0085 and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.204. A solicitation notice will be posted on or about 15 August 2024.
