Frangible Spheres

THIS SOLE SOURCE SYSOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Warefare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patexent River, MD.

20670, Atlantic Test Range (ATR) Aircraft Signature & Avionics Measurment Branch, in support of the Advanced Dynamic Range Measurment System (ADAMS) intends to award a sole source contract to ProCad Corperation for the procurment of Frangible Spheres used to calibrate the ATR/ADAMS radars before, during and after each mission to improve test range safety standards while meeting technical reqirements set by Navy Range Safety Office Engineers.

This is a follow-on effort with a requirement of up for frangible Spheres for 5 years. The frangible spheres are critical to flight test operatoins because data relies on the accuracy of radar measurements which are calibrated by floating spheres through the air while attached to balloons. The applicible NAICS Code is 339999. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C.

2304 (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsibility source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. While this notice of intent is for informational purposes only and not a request for competive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, which shall be condsidered ny NAVAIR.
