As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the F414 engine, only GE possesses the intellectual property, including software applications, engineering and manufacturing processes as well as the associated Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) and tooling necessary to manufacture spares and repair the subject items.

A technical source review was conducted for each proposed National Item Identification Number (NIIN) to identify all potential sources. GE is the only known responsible source to manufacture and repair the F414 engine. No other sources will satisfy NAVSUP WSS’s requirements.
