6U Satellite Buses Amendment to existing contract N0024421C0018

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source contract modification in accordance with FAR Part 12 to Astro Digital US, Inc. Astro Digital location: 3171 Jay Street, Santa Clara, CA 95054. The proposed action is a amendment to contract N0024421C0018 to Astro Digital for satellite buses that must be compatible with existing Mobile CubeSat Command And Control MC3 satellite network comprised of multi-Agency hardware and software.

This amendment modification will cover additional cost associated with rocket launch delays. The MC3 ground station network is Department of Defense DoD sponsored common-use infrastructure to support communication for government-owned small satellites. This is the only equipment that meets all pertinent DoD, DoN and NPS specific requirements The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.

Astro Digital is the sole provider of the existing equipment in the United States of America. No other known company provides this specific satellite bus. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUESTFOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
