NEXCOM Shelving and Binning

The Government intends to purcure shelving systems from Metal Dynamics. This is a sole source buy. The Metal Dynamics, Ltd slat wall shelving system conforms to all salient physical, functional, and other characteristics, which are specified in the General specifications for ships of the United States Navy, Section 654. Metal Dynamics Ltd, is the approved/authorized supplier of ships store furnishings by NSWCCD, Code 9873 and in accordance with Habitability Procurement Message 03165ZMAR20.

The Metal Dynamics, Ltd, shelving is installed on the majority of ships stores in the fleet. Maintaining conformity and using the same make/model fixtures for ship's stores allows a greater flexibility and interchangeability between ships, and greater case of procuring matching replacement parts. Some specifics of the design are proprietary and exactly match with various other visual merchandising products.

Metal Dynamics, Ltd has proven itself to be a superior design and manufacturing source, and their products are entirely suitable for the rigorous shipboard environment. Use of any other source has high probability for delays and growth work.
