The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) has a requirement for the following:

6800 Series Instron EM system retrofit package for System ID 5965U4687 6800 Series Instron EM system retrofit package for System ID 5966U4688 6800 Series Instron EM system retrofit package for System ID 5966U4689 6800 Series Instron EM system retrofit package for System ID 5985U469 6800 Series Instron EM system retrofit package for System ID 5967S2737 On-site installation, verification, and training for (5) retrofits, (5) environmental chambers, and (5) AVE3s Ave3 Video Extensometer 3119-606 Series Chambers 3119-610 Series Chamber 3621-002 Hydraulic Power Unit CP139996 Closed-Loop Water Chiller CP141000 Remote Start/Stop System On-site installation and commissioning for Hydraulic Power Unit, Chiller, and Start/Stop system Torsion Add on 3.0 for System ID 5967S2737 NSWC IHD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Illinois Tool Works, Inc., located at 825 University Ave, Norwood, MA, 02062. The NAICS code is 334519 and the PSC code is 6635. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.

This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.

No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
