The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for Glenair or ODU brand copper electrical cable assemblies. The NAICS code is 335929 and the business size is 1000 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a brand name basis. The proposed action is for copper cable assemblies, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with compliant products pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii).
The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Glanair and ODU equipment are the only certified material, with no valid alternatives. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
