16 January 2024 – Closing Date: 30 January 2024 – Time Eastern ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement to increase the contract ceiling for N0016423DS017 via contract modification from $2.5M to $7.5M to reflect new contract requirements. The proposed modification is for the supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Black Hills Ammunition Inc., 1699 Sedivy Lane, Rapid City, South Dakota 57703 under the authority of FAR 6.302.

The requirement is being announced on a sole source basis as the contract was awarded as such. Currently Black Hills Ammunition Inc., is the only approved source for the required ammunition and can provide timely. A current competitive action for this ammunition will be solicited very soon allowing competition covering requirements beyond this effort. N0016423DS017 was awarded on the same basis of continuing requirements via the only current approved source while the competitive action takes place.

There is no extension to the contract period ending 26 September 2025 just the increase in ceiling. This increase in ceiling is due to an increase in requirements via new customers and this increase will satisfy those requirements until the end of the ordering period at which time a new competitive contract is expected to award. There will be no further ceiling extensions to this N0016423DS017. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
