Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Weapons Data Link (WDL) Small Weapons Attritable (SWARMM) Family 2 (SF2) Radio Development and Production

The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in support of the Multifunctional Information Distribution (MIDS) Program Office (MPO) plans to issue a Full and Open Competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development and procurement of National Security Agency (NSA) certified Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Weapons Data Link (WDL) Small Weapons Attritable (SWARMM) Family 2 (SF2) Radios.

This contemplated Solicitation is estimated to be released during the third quarter of fiscal year (FY) 2024 and the resultant contract will support the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) sustainment and development support to the MIDS WDL SF2 terminal. The Government anticipates issuing a Multiple Award Contract (MAC) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract which will include a five-year ordering period.

The Government previously released a Request for Information (RFI) in December 2023, which can be found under Solicitation Number MKTSVY_198612 and has been provided as an attachment to this pre-solicitation notice for informational purposes. Based on the analysis of the responses to this RFI, in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.1, the Government determined this requirement would be solicited on the basis of full and open competition.

This pre-solicitation notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement, or any follow-up information requests.
