The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to draft specifications and standards to accommodate a variety of design solutions and processes, and to encourage a broad vendor base.

NAVSEA is preparing draft MIL-DTL-24231/1E w/Amd 1, Connector, Plug, Type I, Molded, Three-, Four-, and Five-Conductor, MIL?DTL-24231/3E w/Amd 1, Connector, Plug, Type I, Molded, Seven- and Nine-Conductor (Straight and 90 Degrees), and MIL?DTL-24231/4E w/Amd 1, Connector, Plug, Type I, Molded, 14-, 24-, 30-, or 40-Conductor (Straight and 90 Degrees).
