Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to utilize other than full and open competition to award a contract to Mercury Systems, Inc (Mercury), located in Oxnard, California (CA) for production and delivery of end-item microwave amplifiers. This contract will support the production of antennas for the Cooperative Engagement Capabilities (CEC).
CEC is a major weapon system that provides fire control capabilities that significantly improves strike force air and missile defense capabilities by coordinating measurement data into a single, integrated real-time, composite track air picture. Microwave amplifiers enable the transmission and reception of signals across vast distances with high fidelity. These amplifiers are critical to the CEC major weapon systems.
This requirement for the deliverable of end-item microwave amplifiers will require production efforts based on Government provided military specifications. The production effort will include necessary labor, materials and non-reoccurring engineering (NRE) services. The Government intends to award a single contract for this effort resulting in a 30-month period of performance. This contract will not include options.
The Government anticipates award in Fiscal Year 2024. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. However, all expression of interest received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis, will be considered by the Government.
Any submission will not be reimbursed by the Government and the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, upon receipt of responses, is the sole discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
