Description
As published on SAM.gov.
USS IWO JIMA was deployed in support of Operation Southern Spear and experienced a casualty of its Main Feed Pump (MFP). SERMC’s repair team was tasked with overhauling the MFP while the ship was in port for a mid-deployment voyage repair (MDVR); however, there were extensive rigging and crane services required to support SERMC’s repair team. To accomplish the tight schedule for the repair (APR 6-13, 2026), the SERMC Contracting Office entered into a sole-source contract with BAE Systems, Inc. (SERM-091-26 EMAV).
