The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the FY25-26 Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) of the PCU JOHN F. KENNEDY (CVN 79). The CVN 79 PSA will include all manpower, support services, design integration, engineering and management support, technical data, management support, material procurement and planning documentation required to prepare for and accomplish the availability.
The work to be accomplished will include correction of Government responsible deficiencies, installation of approved engineering changes (that were not incorporated during the construction period), testing and post repair sea trials, and other emergent work.
The requirements will be solicited from Huntington Ingalls Incorporated, Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607. This requirement will be procured, without full and open competition, from the only qualified source capable of performing the post-delivery work for GERALD R.
