Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) A2 Contract Extension

In accordance with FAR 5.201, this pre-solicitation notice is a synopsis of Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal's intent to solicit and award, on a sole source basis, a modification to the existing Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) A2 Requirements Contract with Oshkosh Defense, LLC. The anticipated modification will be issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), and will add 3 years of vehicle, trailer, and kit production, and logistics, fielding and maintenance, and system technical support to existing contract W56HZV-18-D-0010.

System technical support includes Contractor custody of the Technical Data Package and vehicles, Government-initiated Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in support of fielded medium tactical vehicles, log efforts in support of ECPs and maintenance representation. The Contractor will be required to update and/or revise the TDP by incorporating approved change documentation at the direction of the Government. The Government estimates it will order approximately 1,343 vehicles over the next 3 years.

This is an ESTIMATE ONLY provided in accordance with FAR 16.503(a)(1). This action is authorized by FAR 6.302-1. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responsible sources may obtain a copy of the solicitation, once issued, and/or technical data by submitting a written request to the listed points of contact. Submission of a request for technical data does not guarantee eligibility to receive. Subcontracting opportunities may become available upon award.
