NOTICE OF INTENT - Data Quality Analysis and Training Support for the FMCSA State Safety Data Quality & Crash Causal Factors Program This is a notice of intent by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to award a new sole source contract to the: National Institute for Safety Research, Inc. Period of Performance: One year base period + four (4) one-year option periods. The United States Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, has a requirement to initiate a new single award, sole source contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) tasks for Data Quality Analysis and Training Support for the FMCSA State Safety Data Quality & Crash Causal Factors Program. The mission of the FMCSA is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.
The Office of Research seeks to establish a non-personal services contract award that shall provide expert and independent consultative services, analysis, and training for FMCSA’s Data Quality Program on the subjects of crash data collection and responses to DataQs, and to develop and conduct a training program to help support the Agency’s Crash Causal Factors Program (CCFP). FMCSA intends to issue a solicitation and award the resultant Sole Source contract to National Institute for Safety Research, Inc. (NISR).
The contemplated contract will be Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP). This award will be made in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5. Any questions, comments or concerns regarding this planned sole-source award should be submitted by May 14, 2023, 11:00AM EST, via email to:
