Special Notice CATC Fuji Ordnance Deformer (Sole Source)

Notice of Intent – Sole Source (CATC Fuji Ordnance Deformer) The Marine Corps Installation Pacific (MCIPAC) Regional Contracting Office (RCO) has a requirement for Ordnance Deformer (Mobile Diesel) Model No. 18852. The NAICS code is 333922 and the Product/Service Code is 3910. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to BOULDIN & LAWSON LLC. The proposed action is for Ordnance Deformer (Model # 18852) and associated equipment training, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii).

The basis for restricting competition is Ordnance Deformer Model #18852 is patent protected and solely manufactured by BOULDIN & LAWSON LLC. The MCIPAC RCO intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 20 Aug 2024. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.

However, all responses received by 27 Aug 2024 at 2:00 PM Japan Standard Time (JST) will be considered by the Government. Any questions must be received via e-mail by 20 Aug 2024 at 2:00 PM JST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
