Request for Industry Feedback & Announcement of Pre-Solicitation Site Visit

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. This notice is issued solely for market research, planning, and information-gathering purposes in accordance with FAR Part 10. This is not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking industry feedback on the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for the planned installation of a Redundant Core Radio System, including a 100-foot communications tower, hardened equipment shelter, and associated integration services at FCI Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas.

The Government intends to use the information received from industry to refine requirements, evaluate capability within the market, identify potential sources, and inform the acquisition strategy.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The purpose of this project is to establish a fully interoperable Redundant Core for the BOP’s enterprise radio network. The installation at FCI Leavenworth will provide operational continuity and Core‑level backup for FCC Victorville and FCC Allenwood, ensuring uninterrupted communications in the event of system failure or required maintenance at either location.
Detailed technical requirements are provided in the attached SOW.

The Government requests that interested vendors review the attached SOW and provide:

  1. Comments, recommendations, or questions regarding clarity, feasibility, assumptions, and risk areas.
