Notice of Intent to Sole Source - BPA for Nutritional Supplements and Food Products

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Gallup Service Unit in Gallup, NM intends to exercise an option with Abbott Laboratories Inc. for the provision of Nutritional Supplements and Food Products.

Period of Performance:

Option Period One:

9/19/2024 - 9/18/2025 Option Period Two: 9/19/2025 - 9/18/2026 The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 311999 - All Other Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing with a Small Business Administration size standard of 700 employees.

The action is being accomplished using the principles of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, particularly FAR Subpart 13.5, in accordance with 41 USC 1901, “…to promote efficiency and economy in contracting and to avoid unnecessary burdens for agencies and contractors...”, purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstances of the contract deems only one source available. This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with this Notice of Intent.
