Annual Recertification of Water Systems and Transport of Water Filtration Equipment to New Location

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Gallup Service Unit in Gallup, New Mexico intends to negotiate a single source award to General Water Technology for annual recertification of the previously installed water systems to remain in compliance with accrediting agency requirements and purchase of expendable media on an as needed basis.

In addition, the Laboratory Department requires movement of water filtration and water reservoir equipment from existing location to new location to maintain compliance with OSHA safety requirements. NAICS 221310 with a small business set aside standard of $41.0 million applies.

The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstances of the contract deems only one source available. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies may provide a capability statement.

Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 9:00 am MDT on March 18, 2024. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition or proceed with a single-source award.
