The Indian Health Service (IHS), Shiprock Service Unit, intends to negotiate a single-sourced, firm-fixed-price contract with Food & Health Communications, Inc (UEI NHMMKK7BAYP5) for the procurement of diabetes education materials. The vendor is the exclusive supplier of these education materials, which are essential to our diabetes prevention and management programs. Additionally, the vendor owns the trademarks and copyrights for the products.

The NAICS code is 513199, with an associated small business size standard is 1,000 employees. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchase not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations or proposals, and a competitive solicitation will not be issued.
