May 22, 2024 AMENDMENT 2 TO THE RFQ: This amendment is being issued to provide answers to questions regarding this requirement.

Questions and Answers:

1) Question: What was the previous award number, date awarded, awarded value?

Answer: Award HQ042319P0012, issued 3/19/2019, $36,000.00 for one base + four option years.

2) Question: Are there any monthly Canine Bedbug inspections or visual inspections other than the quarterly canine inspection?

Answer: No.

3) Question: Will the Government accept other National K9 Bedbug recognized canine certifications such as WDDO, IBBMA, NADDA, or NACSW?

Answer: No 4) Question: What is the treatment procedure if bedbug canine alerts (detects bedbugs) during the inspection?

Answer: DFAS would incur expenses and would schedule/arrange for a pest control company to come out. The canine contractor will work with the pest control company by identifying the specific areas that had a positive detection and need treated. END .

May 16, 2024 AMENDMENT 1 to the RFQ: This amendment to this RFQ is being issued to update the RFQ document, specifically the Performance Work Statement (PWS) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS section, bullet 4. The original PWS, General Requirement section, bullet 4, noted that ‘each two-floor quarterly inspection takes approximately 2 hours”. This amendment removes this statement. The updated PWS, General Requirement section, bullet 4, adds the following statement: “Each floor is approximately 75,000 square feet.

2 floors, totalling approximately 150,000 square feet, will be inspected each quarter.” The full text of both versions of PWS GENERAL REQUIREMENTS, bullet 4, is shown, below. ORIGINAL PWS— The Performance Work Statement is located on pages 2-4 of the RFQ document. In the Performance Work Statement, reference the GENERAL REQUIREMENTS section, bullet 4. It originally read: 2 of the 8 floors will be inspected each quarter, not the entire building each quarter.

By inspecting 2 floors each quarter, the entire building is inspected once yearly. Each two-floor quarterly inspection takes approximately 2 hours. AMENDMENT 1— Bullet 4 of the Performance Work Statement, pages 2-4 of the RFQ document, is changed to read as follows:

2 of the 8 floors will be inspected each quarter, not the entire building each quarter. Each floor is approximately 75,000 square feet. 2 floors, totaling approximately 150,000 square feet, will be inspected each quarter. By inspecting 2 floors each quarter, the entire building is inspected once yearly. There are no additional changes to this RFQ. END

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Columbus, Ohio (DFAS-CO) has a requirement for Canine Bedbug Detection Services at the DFAS-Columbus location, 3990 E. Broad St., Building 21, Columbus, Ohio 43213. There are eight floors in Building 21 including the basement. Each quarter two of the eight floors (not all eight floors) will be inspected. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set Aside. The requirement is for one base and four option years. Please review the RFQ document, attached. Complete and return the following forms with your quote: Attachment 1, Schedule of Items Form, and Attachment 2, Provisions and Clause Form. END
