The overarching objective of this support is to provide OCMO and DoD leaders, operators, and analysts the technology and analytical support they need to enable the National Defense Strategy by building a more lethal force and reforming the DoD for greater performance and affordability.

The National Defense Business Operations Plan requires ongoing analysis of various DoD lines of business and areas of focus, such as: human resource management; financial management; real property management; logistics and supply chain management; healthcare management; community services; cyber defense and information technology management, and testing and evaluation.

Additionally, a data-first approach, at scale, is required to perform analysis across the spectrum of strategic intent, budgeting, spending, and outcomes to optimize business operations in support of the National Defense Strategy
