RENAV & HYDRA

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Office of Contracting Services, Virginia has awarded a sole source contract to Oceaneering International, Inc. (CAGE: 3S219) located at 7001 Dorsey Rd., Hanover, MD 21076. Oceaneering will provide vital updates and consultation support to the RENAV and HYDRA software.

These software tools provide NGA with data that is used to support Geospatial foundational maritime navigation data; they are critical parts of the software baseline for which there are no known alternatives that can satisfy the requirement. Oceaneering is the only source available to satisfy the requirements. Oceaneering is the sole seller and provider of software updates to the RENAV product suite.

The services to be performed include RENAV and HYDRA program management; software sustainment through regular software updates; consultation; and testing and user training sessions. The period of performance for this requirement is one (1) 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, when the required service is available from only one source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. This purchase was made under Other Than Full and Open Competition and Contracting by Negotiation as authorized by FAR Parts 6 and 15.
