Uninsured United Parachute Technologies Sigma Tandem Parachutes

Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) has a requirement for Uninsured United Parachute Technologies (UPT) Sigma Tandem parachute systems. The acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Supart 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will not utilize any small business set-aside, due to the proprietary nature of the Sigma Tandem parachute systems.

Any resulting request for quote (RFQ) will be sole sourced to Uninsured United Parachute Technologies (UPT) of Deland, FL (CAGE 4QFP7). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 314999 and the Small Business Size Standard is 550 employees. The Government intends to award a purchase order for two (2) UPT Sigma Tandem parachute systems. The main canopies shall be yellow with a navy blue “Navy” stitched into each respective canopy.

Container will be navy blue with “Navy” stitched into the left and right-side walls. This synopsis shall not be construed as a formal request for quote not an obligation on the part of the Government to enter into a contractual agreement for any supplies/services.
