Description
As published on SAM.gov.
The 2 Systems Operations Squadron, Cyber Defense Flight (2 SYOS/SCP), formerly the 2 Weather Support Squadron, Cyber Operations and Cyber Support Flights (2 WSS/CYS & CYP), located at Offutt AFB, NE provides defensive cyber operations in protecting, detecting, and responding to intrusions in protection of authoritative weather data to optimize military and intelligence community operations and planning.
The 2 SYOS/SCP utilizes the GIGAMON HC2 in monitoring key cyber terrain to protect the USAF’s 2nd largest Special Purpose Processing Node and the 557 Weather Wing Enterprise from unauthorized network connections and activity. Enhanced monitoring of the cyber terrain with the GIGAMON assists in the compliance and protection of critical assets per DoD Computer Network Defense directives and hardens the network perimeter around the USAF’s authoritative weather sources.
Due to the critical nature of the 557 WW production environment, it is imperative all equipment be on vendor maintenance agreements when applicable. This SOO will provide for hardware, technical support, and maintenance for the GIGAMON appliance which is part of the mission defense team arsenal in protecting the 557 WW mission.
The contractor shall ensure that all applicable Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) IA and IA-enabled products comply with Committee on National Security Systems Policy 11 (CNSSP-11) compliant, requiring them to be validated by accredited labs under the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) as identified in the sections below.
