Justification and Approval for PSO Services for the Brookhaven IRS, Holtsville New York

The Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division intends to issue a sole source extension of up to six (6) months to the current ordering period of an existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract, 70RFP118DE2000002 with Diversified Protection Corporation, 186 Seven Farms Drive, Suite F-391, Daniel Island, SC 29492-7300 This extension begins 06/01/2024 and will provide continued armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services for the Brookhaven IRS facility in Holtsville, New York and to allow placement of a new contract to continue critical PSO services at various locations.

The government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Diversified Protection Corporation under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be made available.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services) and the Small Business Size Standard is $29 million.
