Los Padres National Forest; Pacific Valley Generator System Repairs

Perform repairs on the Electrical Power Generation Systems at Pacific Valley Fire Station, located in Big Sur, CA. The repair work will include the replacement of the following components on the existing 20-kW diesel generator: - Generator end - Radiator - Radiator hoses - Fan belt - Water pump - Thermostat Current generator is a Cummins C20 D6 (Spec A) diesel generator, serial number: L190698894. Pacific Valley Fire Station is an off-grid facility with barracks, employee housing, engine garage and offices. It is supported by a photovoltaic solar array with batteries and a back-up diesel generator to provide electricity to the site. Currently the permanent generator is not functioning, requiring a rental generator to be on site. Replacement of failed and aging components is required to bring the generator back into services. The generator is in an out-building behind the barracks house.
