High Bay LED Light Bulbs

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and FAR subpart 13.106-1, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number for this requirement is FA9101-25-B-B005.

This is a competitive solicitation set-aside 100% for Small Business. This solicitation is not authorization to begin performance, and in no way obligates the Government for any costs incurred by the offeror associated with developing a quote. The Government reserves the right not to award a contract in response to this RFQ.

Prior to commencement of any activities associated with performance of this requirement, the Government will issue a written directive or contractual document signed by the Contracting Officer with appropriate consideration established. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335139-Electric Lam Bulb and Other Lighting Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6240-Electric Lamps.

The purpose of this solicitation is for the purchase of approximately 130 High Bay LED Light Bulbs, specifically 130 replacement Light Emitting Diode (LED) light bulbs to support all testing to be supplied to the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field in California at Arnold Engineering Development Complex’s (AEDC) National Full Scale Aerodynamics Complex (NFAC) found in Atch 1 – Technical Specifications.

The High Bay LED Light Bulbs will require 65,000 Lumens, 450 Watt, 5,000 Kelvin, LED High Bay Retrofit, 1000 Watt Metal Halide Equal, Mogul Base, Operates by Bypassing Ballast, 277-480 Volt, Damp UL Location Rated, Universal Burn Position, Open and Enclosed rated, equivalent to stock Number GE 93096547. The light bulbs shall reference Attachment (Atch) 1 – Technical Specifications.

The Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base located in Tennessee anticipates the use of a firm-fixed price contract with a 60 day Period of Performance for the procurement of 130 High Bay LED Light Bulbs. Currently, the Government anticipates awarding this acquisition to one vendor that is both capable of providing the required product on Atch 1 – Technical Specifications and provides the lowest technically acceptable offer.
