Request for Information (RFI) - Battlefield Airmen Rapid Refresh and Replenishment System (BARS) Individual Specialized Equipment – Survival and Navigation

The purpose of the Battlefield Airmen Rapid Refresh and Replenishment System (BARS) program is standardization, ordering, and accountability of individual issue equipment for specialized operators, including Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) and Guardian Angel (GA).

Special Tactics operators require a broad spectrum of specialized and/or unique equipment items that can be categorized as: individual equipment (e.g. clothing and protective gear), common equipment (e.g. amphibious, SCUBA, and communications), or mission equipment (e.g. medical and rescue). The Government is seeking equipment with assigned National Stock Numbers (NSNs) to replenish and maintain the inventory in the BARS Distribution Center Warehouse to ensure rapid issuance to specialized operators when required. Specifically, the Government is seeking brand name or equivalent items that meet or exceed the salient characteristics listed in the spreadsheet attached to this notice.
