This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 333517 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 3410.

Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.

The requirement is to replace one Wire Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) on the second floor of Fairchild Hall located at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), CO 80840. The vendor will be responsible for removing/disposing of the existing Wire EDM (AgieCharmilles FI 240 CC, offered as trade-in) from USAFA in accordance with Federal, DoD, State, local and environmental laws and providing and installing one new Wire EDM to the same location in accordance with the attached salient characteristics. A site visit is scheduled for September 11, 2024. Quotes are due by 4:00 p.m. MDT on September 16, 2024.
