Graduation Stage Backdrop Industry Day: 31 May 2024 at 1:00pm Mountain Daylight Time. This announcement is not a solicitation; it is for informational purposes only. This announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bid, Request for Proposal, or Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with attending the Industry Day or providing any information associated with this announcement.

The applicable NAICS code is 332311, Prefabricated Metal Building and Component Manufacturing. At this stage, the Government is undecided if this will be full and open or a small business set-aside. All size business concerns are welcome to attend, although a possible future RFQ may preclude certain business sizes and/or types from submitting a quote. The proposed contract is contemplated as a Firm-Fixed Price contract.

The requirement is to obtain a new Graduation Stage Backdrop used specifically for USAFA graduation and other high-profile events. The backdrop must integrate seamlessly with the current stage and be visually pleasing while not interfering with security, safety, or capture of photo or video. The backdrop must be able to withstand the high winds often present at Falcon Stadium, and not experience significant damage due to weather. The backdrop must be modular and relatively easy to assemble, disassemble and store.

It must also be relatively easy to quickly repair due to regular wear and tear, as well as have the ability to completely change the background design, independent of the framework. Training USAFA personnel on assembly and tear down of the backdrop must be provided.

Schedule:

May 31, 2024 1:00pm – 4:00pm Location: 4900 Stadium Blvd., U.S. Air Force Academy, CO 80840. Agenda: 1:00pm - 2:00pm - Requirement overview, viewing of the existing graduation backdrop and stage, and group questions. 2:00pm - 4:00pm - Breakout sessions for one-on-one industry discussions. Interested vendors must attend the 1:00pm - 2:00pm session to be included in the breakout sessions. When entering the USAF Academy, all attendees will need to produce a valid driver's license at the gate.

Security Forces will then direct attendees to a vehicle inspection site. Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. To be eligible to attend the Industry Day, contractors do not need to be registered in SAM. However; for the Government to consider a contractor's quote for a possible future RFQ, the contractor must be registered in SAM at the time a quote is received.
