The 48 FW is in need of portable blast deflectors around our heavy cargo pad. The specifications of the pre-manufactured structure required for this project are listed, in detail, in the Statment of Work. We require all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and services to deliver and install 200 linear meters (656 feet) of mobile jet blast barriers. The sighting for placement has been approved. They will be placed on two separate sections on the flight line.
The barriers must be designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 45 m/s (100 mph) and must be at least 6.7 m (22 ft) in height, but not more than 9 m (29.5 ft). They will be constructed out of hot dipped galvanized steel to withstand the elements and ensure longevity. They will be erected on a concrete base with forklift slots underneath for portability.
