All Access Cargo Shelves - Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The 35th Contracting Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan intends to issue a sole-source procurement action to Element Industrial Storage Limited to provide an all access cargo rack system to the base’s Logistic Squadron. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii).

Additionally, Element Industrial Storage Limited will have already been mobilized to Misawa AB and performing a separate and different requirement for one of their squadrons. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 9 days after date of publication of this notice.

Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm’s ability to provide an equivalent supply/service as described above. Interested parties must provide a rationale as to why they should be considered. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2024-05, DFARS Change 08/15/2024, and DAFAC 2024-0612.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332999. The associated Small Business Size Standard is 700 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 7125. Questions are due no later than 1:00 PM Japan Standard Time, 25 Nov 2024. Any questions submitted after may not be considered timely.

Untimely questions may not be answered before the deadline for quote submission Quotes are due no later than 1:00 PM Japan Standard Time, 6 Dec 2024. Failure to provide quotes before the listed date and time may result in a quote being considered untimely, and the company considered unresponsive. Untimely quotes may not be considered for award unless if deemed in the best interest of the Government.
