SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: WRONG WAY DETECTION SYSTEM THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 366 Contracting Squadron (366 CONS) of the 366 Fighter Wing (366 FW) is conducting market research to determine the availability, interest, and capability of potential business sources qualified and able to compete for a contract to provide the following at Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648.: Provide One (1) Wrong Way Detection System that includes the following:

Sufficient detectors to cover all three (3) outbound lanes and detect vehicles attempting to enter installation via outbound lanes of traffic. Solar Power is preferred, but Radio Frequency or Bluetooth are acceptable alternatives. Quantity of Two (2) Solar Powered “DO NOT ENTER” signs that illuminate when a vehicle is detected traveling the wrong way on outbound lanes. Siren/audible alarm that alerts the guards when vehicles are detected going the wrong way.

Warranty Standard One (1) year warranty covering equipment and operation. Installation The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items needed to setup/install the Wrong Way Detection System. The Contractor shall ensure proper operation of the installed equipment. Any equipment not functioning properly, IAW manufacture’s specifications shall be diagnosed and repaired by the contractor.

Training Following the completion of installation, the Contractor shall provide on-site training for Security Forces Supervision and Gate Supervisors, not to exceed eight (8) hours. The information in this notice is based on the most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements or as needed.

The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information / sources sought notice. Currently, the 366 Contracting Squadron (366 CONS) at Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648 intends to issue a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation / Request for Quotes (RFQ) to those potentially interested vendors who respond to market research efforts. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334419, “Other Electronic Component Manufacturing” The Small Business Size Standard is 750 Employees.

The government requests interested parties to please respond/email the listed Point(s) of Contact (POC) to this notice with your company information to include SAM UEI and Cage Code, and Small Business size status if any. Please state in your correspondence that you are interested, and after reviewing the requirement information provided in this notice, if you believe you are capable of meeting this requirement.

Depending upon the responses to this notice and other market research, 366 CONS may limit the competition to a specific socio-economic small business category at the exclusion of all other potential business concerns. This announcement serves as the first step for 366 CONS to determine the viability of setting aside this requirement for competition solely within or among certain small businesses in selected categories. This is a Sources Sought Announcement only; no solicitation exists or is available at this time.

Requests for a solicitation shall not receive a response. This announcement shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. In the event a solicitation is developed, currently, the government anticipates Issuing a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation which will be posted to the GPE (sam.gov). Interested parties should respond by contacting the POC’s identified in this notice, please clearly state your interest and capability in this requirement.

Whether or not you can provide the requested products and/or services based on any attachments or item/service description, include your company information, SAM UEI/Cage Code, point of contacting info (Name/Email/Phone) if you are a Large Business, Small Business and/or any potential Small Business socio-economic categories based on the NAICS Code and applicable small business size standard. There is no need to provide past performance information at this time.
